Cooking Tips with our Products
Our broth and base contain higher sodium to preserve its quality longer in the room temperature. The sodium content is approximately 320mg (0.80grams) ~ 340mg (0.85grams) from 1 teaspoon (5ml) of soup or broth concentrates. Taste before adding extra salt or pepper then adjust if additional seasoning is desired.
Directly add small amount of broth or soup base to your cooking and mix well.
Reconstitute 2 teaspoons of broth concentrate or soup base into a cup of water, mix well and set aside. Use it in any recipe that calls for ‘Broth’ or ‘Stock’.
Our ‘Oiled Chili Pepper’ doesn’t contain any ingredients to affect the flavor but can be used only to increase the spiciness.
For the ramen broth, you can reconstitute the broth per instruction but it can be customized to make you own ramen broth by adding ingredients, such as ‘Miso Paste’ or ‘Soy Sauce’. Please check out ‘Recipe’ for some interesting applications. You can also find ‘how to cook noodle’ instruction there.
Ramen broth usually has very high sodium. If you cannot intake too much sodium, do not finish the soup. A lot of sodium contains in the soup so you can reduce the sodium intake by not consuming ramen soup.
Combine different flavor of broths, soup bases or spicy oil to get your broth customized. For instance, try to combine ‘Garlic Broth’ and ‘Curry Soup’ to add a slight garlic taste to the curry soup or add small amount of ‘Oiled Chili Pepper’ into the broth or soup base to increase the spiciness to your desired level.
Basic usage of our products are 2 teaspoons (10ml) per serving to make one cup (236ml) of broth or soup base. The sodium amount will be 640mg (1.6grams salt) ~ 680mg (1.7gram salt) per serving. In our ‘Recipes‘ page, sodium levels are calculated for each recipe. Please refer to the sodium per serving and adjust your serving size or reduce the usage in order to consume your ideal sodium level.
When you are exploring your own recipe with our product, please note the sodium contents in below;
1 teaspoon (5ml) about 6 grams of liquid – approximately 336mg sodium (0.84grams, 1/8 teaspoon of salt)
1 Tablespoon (15ml) about 18 grams of liquid – approximately 1,008mg sodium (2.52grams, 1/2 teaspoon of salt)
Simply add 1 teaspoon of concentrate to a cup of bone broth to increase the deliciousness.
